Your 30-day trial
When it starts, what’s included, and what happens at the end.
- The trial starts when you create your account and lasts 30 calendar days. Accounts from before the paid launch got a fresh 30-day trial starting at launch (24 September 2026).
- No credit card is needed, and nothing is ever charged unless you choose a plan and complete checkout.
- Everything is included — sync, AI with your local model or own key, search, memory, export.
- Your end date is always shown in Settings → Plan & billing. Thread shows a quiet reminder 7 days before the end.
- Using Thread without an account (local to one device) has no trial clock.
When the trial ends
If you haven’t subscribed, your Thread becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted. You can subscribe before or after the end — editing comes back immediately.
