Terms of Use
The short version: 30 days free with everything included, then €10/month or €96/year if you choose to subscribe. Your content stays yours — if you don’t subscribe, you can still read, search and export it.

Draft for the paid launch, pending legal review. Mandatory consumer rights apply in any case.
1. Provider and scope
These terms govern your use of Orbit Thread (“Thread”), provided by Infinity Consciousness Europe SIA, Vēja iela 4 – 2, Ādaži, Ādažu novads, LV-2164, Latvia (registration no. 50203642241, VAT ID LV50203642241; “we”). Contact: hello@orbitcue.app.
2. The service
Thread is a local-first knowledge workspace that runs in your browser. Your content is stored on your device first; with an account and sync it is also stored in our cloud so it reaches your other devices. You can use Thread without an account locally on one device.
3. Trial
- A new account receives one 30-day trial with every individual feature. Accounts created before the paid launch received a fresh 30-day trial starting on the launch date.
- No payment details are needed for the trial. A trial never converts into a paid subscription automatically — you are charged only after you actively complete checkout.
4. Subscriptions, prices and payment
- Thread costs €10 per month or €96 per year. Thread Team (€15 per user/month or €144 per user/year) is not yet available and cannot be purchased.
- Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, the merchant of record for all orders. Paddle handles payment, invoicing and VAT and provides customer service for billing enquiries. Displayed prices include VAT where applicable; the final amount is shown at checkout.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) until canceled. You can switch between monthly and annual billing; Paddle prorates the difference.
- Pricing does not depend on the number of notes, workspaces, searches or AI requests, and there are no AI credits. Technical safeguards (e.g. maximum file size) and abuse protection are not pricing limits.
5. Cancellation and end of access
- You can cancel at any time in Settings → Plan & billing or the Paddle customer portal. Access continues until the end of the paid period; there is no further renewal.
- When a trial ends without a subscription, or a subscription ends, your Thread becomes read-only: you keep access to sign in, read, search and export your content, and to manage your account. Creating and editing content requires an active subscription.
- We do not delete content because a trial or subscription ended. You can delete your account and data at any time.
6. Right of withdrawal and refunds (consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days, as set out in Paddle’s buyer terms. Where you expressly request that the service starts immediately, the withdrawal right may be limited as permitted by law. Refunds are processed by Paddle. Any other mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
7. AI providers
AI features are optional. Local models run on your own computer. If you connect your own key for a cloud AI provider, you use that provider under your own agreement and pay the provider directly; those charges are not part of your Thread subscription. AI output can be wrong — Thread shows sources so you can check.
8. Your content
You keep all rights to your content. You grant us only the rights needed to store, sync and display it for you. You are responsible for having the right to store what you upload and must not use Thread for unlawful content.
9. Local-first: your responsibility for local data
Content that exists only on a device (for example with “Keep on this device only”, without an account, or not yet synced) is lost if you clear your browser data or lose the device. Export regularly.
10. Availability, suspension and termination
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend accounts that endanger the security or integrity of the service or breach these terms, and will inform you unless prohibited. You may terminate at any time by canceling and deleting your account; we may terminate with reasonable notice. On termination you will be given the opportunity to export your data.
11. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health, and under mandatory product liability law. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
12. Changes
We may change these terms or prices for the future. We will notify you at least 30 days in advance; price changes apply from your next billing period and you may cancel before they take effect.
13. Law
Latvian law applies, excluding conflict-of-law rules; the mandatory consumer protection of your country of residence remains unaffected. See also our Privacy Policy.
