Keep notes current
Verify notes, set review dates and mark outdated ones so older information remains visible and reviewable.
Answers are only as good as the notes behind them. Thread keeps track of when a person last confirmed a note, and tells you when an answer relies on one that may be out of date.
In a note’s ··· menu
- Mark as verified — you checked it and it’s still right.
- Review by… — pick a date to check it again (e.g. a contract or a price list).
- Mark as outdated — keep it for the record, but stop treating it as current.
Nothing is shown for an ordinary note. A small label appears only when there is something to know: Outdated, Review due, or Not checked in 14 months (a year without being verified or edited), with a Verify link next to it.
What changes in answers
- Sourced answer statements include citations; statements the verifier cannot support are removed or flagged for review.
- Outdated notes are left out when you ask how things are now, and still used when you ask about the past.
- When an answer relies on a note that’s due for review or hasn’t been confirmed in a year, the answer says so.
